Casa ME-TKA – a beautiful modern villa

Casa ME-TKA is a modern contemporary masterpiece in minimalist style. Standing in front of the more than 30 meters long facade of the house, you can see that this is no ordinary house. The exterior walls of the house are made of huge beige specially designed solid cement blocks. Through the heavy, large revolving door, you enter the open living room with floor-to-ceiling sliding windows that overlook the lush garden and large private swimming pool. A large polished concrete wall separates the living area from the fully equipped minimalist kitchen with a very large Silestone kitchen island and counter. From the kitchen, a sliding door leads to the covered terrace, where you will find the garden/dining table, a suspended lounger for relaxing, and automatic sun shades when the sun hits the terrace. From the kitchen you enter the first floor bedroom with its beautiful bathroom, which has a jacuzzi overlooking the garden. The house is made of a lot of good quality natural wood, which gives it a kind of Swiss Alpine style character. There are two staircases in the house, one next to the kitchen that takes you to the second floor and connects the two bedrooms. Both are spacious and have private bathrooms, the master bedroom also has a walk-in closet. The other staircase is in the living area and leads down to the large open basement, where you will find the pool table and gym, but which could easily be converted into a handy TV area. In the back of the open basement, there is a fourth, smaller bedroom with its own bathroom, which could also be used as an office. The garden of the house is lush and fenced, so it offers a lot of privacy, the 530m² plot behind the garden is still part of it and can be purchased for a garden shed if interested. The garden has an irrigation system to keep the grass and plants in optimal shape. The swimming pool is quite large with its 10m x 4m and is heated, so you can always enjoy an optimal temperature for swimming or relaxing in the winter months. The pool can even be heated to 38 degrees Celsius, making it a huge warm bath in the garden on the coldest nights. Next to the house, a staircase leads down to the mechanical area with the osmosis water treatment tanks, pool heater, pumps and filters, and air conditioning units. The house has an underground stationary gas storage tank of 1000 liters and two large water cisterns of 20,000 liters each, one with normal water for watering the garden and one with treated drinking water for the house. The house is located in a private complex within the secure gated community of Selvamar, north of the city of Playa del Carmen.
